The “Euro-African Cooperation Forums on ICT Research” are co-organised by the European Commission (DG INFSO, International Relations Unit) and the African Union Commission (AUC) with the support of the EuroAfrica-ICT initiative under the Information Communication Technology (ICT) theme of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

Note: the “3rd EuroAfrica Cooperation Forum on ICT Research” has been designated as an official side-event to the 3rd Africa-EU Summit (Nov. 29-30, 2010 – Tripoli, Libya)!

    3rd Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum on ICT Research – New event sponsor: eLearning Africa (0)

    eLearning Africa is the largest international conference on ICT for development, education and training on the African Continent.

    The 6th conference will take place from May 25–27, 2011 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania,. Every year the conference grows, drawing in an increasing number of participants from Africa (80%) and beyond. Starting with 832 participants in Addis Ababa in 2006, the number increased to 1778 in Lusaka, Zambia.

    3rd Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum on ICT Research – New Associated Partner: ITU/WSIS Stocktaking Platform (0)

    The ITU/WSIS Stocktaking Platform is an international organisation platform working on a publicly-accessible database of ICT-related implementation activities. It was launched during the Tunis phase of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) held in 2005. Its aim is to provide a register of activities carried out by governments, international organisations, the business sector, civil society and other entities, in order to highlight the progress made since that landmark event.
