15th Regional EuroAfrica-ICT FP7 Awareness Workshop (April 6-7, 2011 – Sudan) – Event date set!

The main objectives of EuroAfrica-ICT Awareness Workshops are to raise awareness on FP7/ICT and to enhance Euro-African collaborative projects on ICT research.
About 70 delegates from National and international research institutions, SMEs, Academia are expected to attend the next Regional EuroAfrica-ICT FP7 Awareness Workshop (the 15th of its series) to be held on April 6-7, 2011 at the University of Khartoum, the oldest university in Sudan. This 2-day workshop will be prepared and organized by Makerere University (part of the EuroAfrica-ICT consortium) and the University of Khartoum.
The 15th workshop is designed for everyone with an interest in ICT research and in Euro-African collaborative projects: policy makers, representatives from governments and from international development cooperation agencies, ICT project managers, programme managers, Heads of research labs, IT engineers, deans, directors, lecturers and researchers from universities and the higher education sectors, Managers of NGOs, professionals, centers of excellence, trade unions, chambers of commerce, etc.

It might sound strange but the situation regarding ICT especially here in Ugandan Universities is very alarming.
