An increasing number of regional, national and international initiatives addressing Euro-Africa S&T cooperation in ICT have been developed in the last few years. Several Concertation Meetings were organised in the framework of the EuroAfriCa-ICT Initiative in Europe and in Africa to facilitate closer interaction and the development of synergies between this and other related initiatives.

Several Concertation Meetings have been organised in Europe over the period 2007-2009 under the two previous projects of the EuroAfrica-ICT initiative: FP6/IST START (2006-2008) and FP7/ICT EuroAfrica-ICT (2008-2009):
