The Conference “Challenges and Uses of ICT: Digital technologies and partnerships”, organised by EUTIC (Interdisciplinary Network on the Challenges and uses of ICT) – coordinated by the MICA-GRESIC University of Bordeaux 3, is taking place in Dakar on November 25-26, 2010.

The symposium will be focused on strengthening local, national, regional and international human networks, as well as promoting new global initiatives, with a view to encourage public-private partnerships between the participants within the framework of the information society. The conference will try to involve new players working for the development of next generation of ICT. At the heart of this convergence, creative organisations, start-ups, and SMEs will be showcased in the new business sectors.

During the two days, participants will have the opportunity to discuss and address the different challenges needed for the society to evolve as well as the research areas that could usefully be explored in the short and long term, in order to place ICTs at the service of the users and citizens of tomorrow.
