1st Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum on ICT Research
March 25-26, 2009 - Brussels, Belgium
For the first time in Europe, sub-Saharan African and European policy-makers
have been brought together with ICT research organisations to address the development
of collaborative projects. This 2-day event was organised by the European Commission (DG INFSO) and the African Union Commission (AUC) with the support of the EU/FP7 EuroAfrica-ICT project. This event has been a unique opportunity for event attendees to:
- Network with key stakeholders in the field (private and public)
- Identify potential cooperation partners
- Learn more about the “EU-AU Partnership on Science, ICT and Space” (the 8th Partnership) and the EC/AUC/ACP Programmes
- Hear about opportunities to enhance African participation in FP7
- Get detailed information on successful EU-African FP7 cooperation projects and EU-African PPP (Public-Private Partnerships)
